It's been a while since we've had one of these, so mark your calendar on Saturday, July 12th to celebrate the release of Batch 12 of Lucille's Barrel-Aged Honey at Copperworks Distilling's beautiful new Kenmore location. We'll be there from 5:00 to 8:00pm so come try some cocktails featuring batch 12 and try the honey for yourself. For Copperworks Kenmore location details, check out their website:
I picked up the barrel back in February. Yes, that is a 53 gallon barrel in a Mini Cooper. Best car air freshener ever! But we've got to work on getting Little Trees to make this scent. The barrel does take up a lot of space!
The barrel had Copperworks' 5-malt recipe, and was one of the contributing casks to the inaugural Maltsmith release that they will be pouring on July 12th! That was the second use for the barrel and the Malt Whiskey was aged for 7.8 years. The barrel was from Independent Stave Company and had Char #3. Some people like those little details, so there you go!
This is our sixth batch using a barrel from Copperworks. I'm happy to partner up with Jason, Thomas and the rest of the crew at Copperworks. They really are a great company and deserve all the success they can handle.

Another great write up Todd. Sounds like a fun event and I’m always up for tasting different whiskey. Unfortunately, we’re heading home from Chelan that weekend.
